review 1: I was in the mood for something that took place on another planet- and here was Extraction. It's not a bad read at all, yes, it does echo of hints of Divergent and The Hunger Games, but I though it was unique enough. It held my attention. I had a couple of problems with it: Clementine's wavering confidence in herself got on my nerves (I'm a math genius! I can't do anything right!). Most of the relationships didn't work for me, and I'm especially pissed with how the whole Ariadne thing was handled. I didn't buy "Sam" because we never really got his backstory. The worldbuilding was above par, and reminded me of Hugh Howley's Wool. Overall, not bad at all.
review 2: First, I would like to thank the author Stephanie Diaz for giving me this book for an honest review
... more. I enjoyed this book, the moon/space aspect was good, but there are a lot of similarities to many other books in the dystopian genre. The characters are well developed and written. The world building is good. The story-line is good, but like I already mentioned to many similarities to other books in the genre. I am looking forward to reading the next book. less
