review 1: Anna was turned into a werewolf while out jogging in the woods. The story then goes to three months later and hiw she is now coping with being a werewolf and part of the pack. I must admit at first I was not inpressed. I thought the heroine was so silly. Why on Earth would anyobe with half a brain go running in the woods at night especially when there have been reports of animal attacks that you knew about? But I stuck with it and found I liked Anna a lot. she was pretty fierce and wasn't a push over or doormat. in fact I agreed with most of her decisions until I reached the very end. The last decision she made was as stupid as the night woods jog. The plot was good and although I knew who the baddy was pretty much from the beginning it was still enjoyable to get there. ... morewill be reading the next one.
review 2: I gotta say that while I am not hooked, I certainly will not be writing off the author, Stephanie Nelson. I chose to read this because it appealled to my paranormal, mystery side. For me personally, the story focused more on the aspect of becoming a new werewolf and adjusting to life rather than the big mystery of who was killing the humans. I would have liked to have seen the mystery side of the story developed more. I did like the book but I dont think I will continue this particular series. I will however check out other works by Ms. Stephanie Nelson. less

It could have been better. I think the pacing was a bit off towards the end.
