review 1: This is the 2nd book that I've read in this series. I started out with Book 2 because it was on sale at the time and I although I didn't care for that book, I decided to give this series/author another try. I'm halfway through this book and I am finding it extremely boring , long, and the plot seems like its just going around in circles, so bad that I've moved onto and have already finished another book. So unfortunately I have to say that this series is not just for me
review 2: After reading book 3 and being completely horrified by its contents I was glad to see that the first book was better. Not by much, but enough to at least classify it as a murder mystery.The narrative is still uncomfortable with the reader in need of suspending their disbelief about h... moreow such an obese couple could still be employed by a police department. The "voice of God" clues are still there and the dialog is still impossible to classify under anything but "creepy".Glad to see things used to be better. Seems they went downhill fast after that. less
