review 1: So unusual, particularly the last line. Garmann starts out scared and he ends up scared too. Because that's what happens right before starting school for the first time. You're scared, but you do it anyway. Even adults are scared, the adults in this very book. And Garmann's aunts talk to him about something really scary: death. But that's not so bad after all either.Oh and the artwork is mind-blowing.
