review 1: This was (probably still is) a $1.99 book deal at most e-retailers, and I got sucked in just for the convenience factor, and because Jane at DearAuthor.com said it was a sexy version of Pride and Prejudice. But it wasn't actually all that steamy, and it didn't add much to the story. Adriani's version starts up where Elizabeth meets Wickham, and imagines how P&P would have been different if Darcy had told her the truth about Wickham from the start. Not much, as it turns out, at least before I got bored and moved on to other things.
review 2: Pride and prejudice rewritten to be just as trite as any other historical romance written by any other modern day author to be found in the romance section of the bookstore. I got halfway through and wondered how the story c... moreould possibly continue for another 200 pages. Curiosity won out and I finished the book. Really wasn't worth it. I didn't really get the point of the changes in the plot this author made. Maybe I should just stop reading retellings of my favorite book. less
