review 1: I accidentally read this book out of order. I'm learning how to use a new e-reader, one which didn't tell me #1, #2, etc.In any case, I didn't care much for this book. I didn't develop much sympathy for any of the characters. As life got harder, people degenerated (which seems to be a common theme in modern post-apocalyptic fiction). Survival needs overrode the niceties of civilization. However, the story is still compelling. Will the family survive? Will humanity survive? If so, how? I wanted to know even though I didn't like the characters.I'll be reading the rest of the series.
review 2: This World We Live InSusan Beth PfefferMiranda is a young woman who experiences thrilling, shocking, and terrifying events, all while the world is coming to an end. In "This
... moreWorld We Live In" by Susan Beth Pfeffer, the moon was hit by a meteor the knocked the moon much closer to earth a year ago, causing catastrophic events throughout the globe. Miranda, Jon(younger brother), Matt(older brother), her mom, dad, Lisa(Step-mom), Gabriel(Step-brother and an infant), Alex, Julie, Charlie, and Syl must survive the crisis that they are in and bond as family. However, some become more than just family, while others will depart.I thought this book had the perfect blend of bonding, suspense, shock, and romance. The part I mostly enjoyed in the book was the tornado that hit this clan of survivors. As Alex and Miranda had been biking home, they had nocited a tornado coming right for their house. They had to warn their family embers and survive the tornado and its trail of destruction left behind (hint, hint) which was a great example of shock in the book.I believe that this a great read because the book just sucks you into the story and its almost like your watching a movie with the imagery given. I would recommend this book to people of ages 15+ because this book does contain some more mature content that some children may not be able to handle. People who have also read "Life As We Knew It" or "The Hunger Games" would most likely enjoy this read. This book is quite a knockout and in a league of its own. less

Good, interesting. The two other books combine, that was new.

Not the dumbest books, at all. But I have to see how it ends.
