review 1: ‘Rooting for You’ written by Susan Hood and illustrated by Matthew Cordell is a story about a seed that will scared to grow up from the ground to the skies, though actually a beautiful allegory a book that brings a beautiful lesson for any child scared of growing. When a little seed is scared and nervous to grow from the ground, his underground worm friend will provide support, encouraging him to become grown up and get rid of fears due to uncertainties of life that lies in front. ‘Rooting for You’ is an inspirational allegory recommended for each kid having fear to become grown up, fearing of difficult life full of responsibilities. Therefore this is more than educational book about the plants, it is a work that will help your kid to get out of the shell just like t... morehe seed did, but also reminding that no matter how sometimes may seem it’s difficult for us, there will be always friends to support us and be with us. Speaking about the artwork, the book comes with nice though simple illustrations that makes it suitable even for the kids of 3 years of age.My only objective goes to the format of book with its multiple fold outs that would require special care if and constant monitoring if you give to younger kid or soon new book would be required.
review 2: Age: Preschool-1st gradeNature: PlantsA unique rendering of a seed growing from the ground to the sky. A helping worm lends support to a nervous seed scared of the uncertainties ahead of it. Beware of the pull out pages--this may not last long in a library. Also, I got some beef with publishers and creating fold out pages that are impossible to pull out without tearing. Why does this keep happening?! less

A good book to use with storytimes or classroom themes about growing, flowers, nature, etc.

Cute message and illustrations to match, but really crappy foldouts.

When a child cheers at the end of a book, you know it is a good one.
