review 1: This book is by far the best bilingual book I have ever read. It combines English and Spanish in a series of hysterical rhymes about a little girl who gets in the car for a road trip and realizes she "has to go". I was reading it aloud to Sophia and could not stop giggling. My husband was pretty entertained by it too. You know it's a good book when the adults in the house reread it just for the heck of it! I actually want to buy this one. SO funny!
review 2: Mommy's review from 12/21/11 - This is a good book but I'd have liked it a lot better with some minor changes. One would have been more context clues. Some of the Spanish words in the story are easy to figure out, others not so much.Yes, there's a glossary at the end but flipping back every single page make
... mores for tedious reading. Also, I'd have rather the pronunciations of each word directly behind the word. Or, at the very least, on the same page. Again to save from flipping back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. The story really flows and the Spanish words *wouldn't* interrupt with those two suggestions. But without them, for us, it was interrupted numerous times.I won't seek out Oh No, Gotta Go #2 but if we happen to come across it at some point I'd probably get it to read with Julia. less
