review 1: The Wednesday Group was a riveting book about the lives of women who are the wives of sex addicts. It goes into their private lives and shows some of what each of them is going through and how she is dealing with these behaviors. For the most the characters are well fleshed out, although I would have liked to know a bit more about Flavia. As in life, not all of these women get a happy ending or even a wrapped up ending. I hope to read more books by Sylvia True.I received this book free from Goodreads First Reads.
review 2: I won this book in a Goodreads First Reasds contest. It is not a book I would usually pick up to read. It is definitely a "woman's lit" book dealing with a group of women who go to a support group because their husband's are sex addicts. I was
... more a bit unsure of it because I was hoping that it wasn't going to be as glossed over, happy ending, story. Dealing with cheating men never ends well and I was hoping that would be reflected in the story. It was which was refreshing to me. No unrealistic happy endings here. The story focused on the women and their gaining or losing their personal power dealing with the men. It also focuses on their relationships with one another and how that helps them grow as people. Not a bad book at all and I would give it 3 1/2 stars. less
