review 1: Rare book I couldn't finish. I saw it as a book that asks interesting questions (why *does* he look for his brother? why *does* his mom give them the envelopes? why *did* the brother run away?) but refuses to actually tackle them head-on. Maybe it all comes together at the end? But at the 3/4 point, nothing, so I wasn't too hopeful. Also, the practicalities of the "search" were ludicrous - who looks for a person by walking around a city?
