review 1: Jacob is a lone wolf. It’s not by choice, you see he’s centuries old and different hunters killed his entire family years ago. Jacob doesn’t trust humans, his new pack consists of dogs, and he only goes into town once a month if he has to. Enter Oliver. Oliver is with the government, he’s very excited because it’s up to him to pave the way through town about re-introducing wolves here. Wolves were killed off to near extinction years ago, and it’s time to help them survive again. Unfortunately for him many ranchers not only hate wolves, but hate the government telling them what to do.From first seeing Jacob, Oliver is enchanted, but he may die after a brutal beating from the local ranchers. Jacob trusts no one, but he can’t help but protect the small ma... moren who risked his life to re-introduce wolves. From there love starts to grow, but both are carrying secrets, and the ranchers will never let Oliver go. This was such a great book! Jacob was so tall and alpha-ish, Oliver was adorable yet so confident when he was speaking or lecturing about wolves. The two are perfect for each other, and I loved the secondary characters that came in. Chase has written many books, including books about other shifter types. He’s a fantastic author who knows the right amount of secrecy, romance and sex.Bitten by Books for AReCafe
review 2: Wouldn't recommend this. The story seems written too lightly. In my opinion, the plot is lacking interest and detail. I could excuse it if the reason for the shallowness was just that it was written for erotica but, even when in an erotic chapter, it still lacks any hold. I found myself wishing it were more embellished and containing a more thought out story. Potential was there but ti was one let down after another. less

Good novel with good writing. This book surely needs a sequel =) Possibly a prequel too.
