review 1: It's a well-written book in the sense that you feel the tension building as the narration unfolds. However, when the climax of the book is reached you find that the balloon doesn't pop, it simply deflates. I expected a bit more from the story. The author is able to convey strong images, but the tone throughout the book is very irritating (perhaps purposedly so). I just couldn't handle the delusion of the main character (she was like a chick-lit heroine) and the constant faux-innocent questioning ("Isn't the wife of my ex-lover just adorable? I love how she doesn't care about appearances and had a double-chin in that photograph.") Enough of that. Only in small segments was the narrator genuine and gave up this false attitude. The author succeeding in making me want to slap ... morethe main character all throughout the story.
review 2: The title had me hooked instantly and although I have struggled with time lately, I found myself hurrying to bed to read more. It was the link to Facebook stalking that got me as nothing is secret on this social networking forum to a degree. I struggled with how her obsession with Clive lead her to have sex with a stranger and the description of the night had me actually mentally screaming at the book. I felt the need to shake Sally....but yet love takes us all on different journey's. I felt saddened with the relationship to her children and husband. Sally and Daniel had just fell into that rut that some relationships stumble upon. It was sad but had my complete attention. I have just finished the book tonight and I felt it ended suddenly. I am actually going to reread the last few pages again as I felt I had missed something. I wanted more detail as to the twist. I felt I have been left disturbed by Sally and I need to know a little more detail before the book ends. less

It's a very well written book, but watching this woman's unravelling made me uncomfortable.
