review 1: I liked the Marine who is undercover as a 'manny' (male nanny) to protect a buddy's sister from her sleazy ex. I was a bit less thrilled that the deception continued past that point where he should have come clean - although the partial truths were funny (when she asked where he trained as cook he names the location of his sniper school.) And really for a woman who has such issues stemming from her husband's lies (which she makes clear to the H) she forgives him ways to easily. So with those nits, this ended up being a steamy read with a good leading man and a romance that didn't quite hit the bull's eye for me.
review 2: Sam the marine is approached by a friend to become a nanny. “Someone who can cook and who’s great with kids and housekeeping and M40 sni
... moreper rifles.” I always appreciate Tawna Fenske's writing. She is very good and funny. I thought this set up was really predictable and reminded me of that movie with Vin Diesel, The Pacifier. Sheri is a recently single mother of twins and she doesn't want to have anything to do with Marines like her brother. Sam is a friend of her brother who was told to take care of her, not to make a move on her but he is also very attracted to her. Even with the predictable premise, I liked it and thought it was an entertaining, cute little romance. It was also a fast paced story. It was naughty and clever and had me laughing out loud. 4 stars. less
