review 1: Ahhhh! Just finished this AMAZING book! Tillie Cole has done it again! LOVED Raze and Kisa! Alik is a complete asshat that had me hoping karma would come bite him in the ass for how brutal and deplorable his behavior was towards Kisa and those around him! I love Tillie Coles writing! This is an extremely talented author who is a master storyteller! Go read all of her books! They are all that GOOD! If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would!
review 2: I liked this book but the entire time I found it hard to believe that nobody knew that Alik was dangerous and abusive. If they did know then they chose to remain blind to what was happening to Kisa which I found weird considering how much they were outraged in the final few scenes. Even Kisa was shocked to
... more discover Alik was the one to kill her brother which once again I found so hard to believe after she had clearly seen how he thrived on killing and how abusive he had been to her. Also why did she stay with Alik in the first place? Because he 'needed her'? Call me crazy but that doesn't sound like a good enough reason to stick around in an abusive relationship when you have the protection of friends and family to help you. I would have liked a few more scenes between Raze/Luka and Kisa to reaffirm their bond- pretty much all they did was remember stuff from the past and have sex. I did find this book more original than other stories that I have been reading. However while I liked the idea of this story, I think it had more potential than what was written. less
