review 1: I really like this guy's writing. Great style and I love the worlds he has created. At the beginning of this book I found myself wondering if his very different ideas were going to work, but I need not have worried, as the world made more sense the more new aspects were revealed. I recommend this book and am on the lookout for more of Tim's books to devour. I am looking forward to seeing the world developed further, especially those things that were just touched upon. Like the bugs! And the river and the world exposed by the map, including the mysterious other city.
review 2: I liked this book, but not the ending, but well, I'm me. I had never read a book in this kind of genre and I relly liked, this clas with sf and fantasy, liked it alot. But I sometime this ... morebook really bugged me. Because I just wanted to give that stupid cog back to it's owner! Why didn't he just do that! Sure the city may have been destroyed but, it was their own fault for taking that cog and Camilla in the first place! If that city went under I would kind of been glad I think...well as I said, that's what I think. less
