review 1: "Nothing lasts. You think it's going to. You think, 'Here's something I can hold on to', but it always slips away."FEELS. Anyway, I didn't like this book so much. ... morehe story begins. The Spectacular Now.Right from the first page, this is how it feels. Sutter Keely is your new friend. Your new best friend, almost. He has heart. Reading the book is like spending an afternoon with the guy, with some cheap booze. With his every thought, his every experience, you get a little closer to him. He does not pretend to be, he just is. "Embrace the weird," he says. And so I do.A book I will come back to again. less

I didn't like how the book ends. It leaves too many unanswered questions.
