review 1: Think The Notebook, but with postcards. A man recently divorced selling an estate stumbles upon a collection of postcards a sets out seeking what makes a relationship last. The story was beautiful. I loved the concept of The Long Division, meaning over time a couples time and attention for each other becomes more and more divided by life's responsibilities until eventually both parties become ultimately divided from each other and separate. An important concept to understand for any couple.
review 2: For some reason I pushed through and tread this one right to the end. The story had promise, and the parallel story was intriguing but that never developed fully. The writing lacked polish at times, and occasionally seemed slightly immature. Overall, the story was
... morejust sickly sweet, like a Nicholas Sparks novel drenched in syrup and coated in sugar. And of course it was all wrapped up in a huge shiny bow at the end. Life's too short to read mediocre books. I'd recommend leaving this one on the shelf. less

A little cheesy at times, but endearing at others. If you don't like sappy, don't read this :)

Enjoyable book, but not earth shattering, life changing.
