review 1: Caught on the border of giving it two stars or four! Haha loved the premise and the topic. Thought it was well written for the most part, but I had a hard time with buying Dan's character. He just seemed to handle things a little too nice and neat for a kid struggling with such big issues. As for the nice big bow at the end where his dad gets off without any consequences... I hardly think that's realistic. If you're gonna tackle a hard issue, then your solutions have to be believable.
review 2: This is a thought provoking book on homelessness from the perspective of a high school senior. Dan's family finds themselves homeless after both parents are unable to find new jobs. They end up in Dignityville, the town's answer to the homeless population caused by the
... more poor economy. As Dan deals with his humiliation and embarrassment about his new circumstances, someone threatens to destroy even this humble home the families in Dignityville have. less
