review 1: The sixteenth volume returns its focus to Kyohei and Sanako over four stories. In the first, Sanako goes to Harajuku and the boys follow along. In the second, Kyohei takes a knock to the head and his hormones go into overdrive. In the third, the Landlady offers them a getaway for Valentine's Day but things do not go as planned. In the final story, Sanako tries to get in shape with unintended consequences.Entertaining and actually advances the plot, but not much more than that.
review 2: If you've been following this series, you are probably aware of all of the water treading filler episodes that this series has put out. The last volume provided some actual happenings, but was a teensy bit dissapointing. This volume doesn't pick the action back up, but it does m
... moreove it forward, which is still pretty good. In this volume we discover that Sunako has been making some progress in the boys' attempts at making her a lady. She's making attempts to visit places that she'd previously shunned (Harajuku) as well as losing some weight (well, after she'd previously gained weight). Also in this volume we see what would happen in Kyohei were to act romantically towards Sunako (after getting hit in the head), as well as another Valentine's Day. All in all, the progress in this manga is pretty satisfactory for the most part. I'm a little disappointed since after 16 volumes I really expect more to happen, but I suppose that I should take progression when I see it. It might not be enough to coax other readers back into the series, but it's enough to keep some of the more devoted fans buying the series. I recommend this if you are trying to keep your collection current, but otherwise I'd suggest finding a series with a bit of a tighter plot. less
