review 1: *UPDATE* after reading the 5th book i am back to loving it again! all of the things i mentioned im the bottom of this post has been redeemed! i will now go on to her splitsville Sooooo there is so much I want to say and beware that SPOILERS shall have to pop up so I can give an accuarate review. When I first started this series I was in LOVE. The author has amazing creativity. I highly enjoyed the 1st 2 but the 3rd ruined it for me and so did the synopsis for 4 and 5! I feel that the story could have been developed much better. My first issue is the fact that the main character is thrown into an unknown world where hardly anything is explained. They just tell her what she needs to do and she does. Everytime dhe tries to get more info she is stonewalled....WHY???? Then they... more have the audacity to make her village president so early on in the series.....again WHY???? She obviously has none of the knowledge she needs. they say ita because of her father but shouldnt she develop as a character more and learn more about her spiritual gifts before giving her such responsibilty. It made no sense to make a woman who is new to this and new to the towm the village president. And Oscar...omg Tonye i love you but come on....he has to renounce his gifts AND lose his memore in order to help her??? what freaking sense does that make. that was so heartbreaking to me!! & how in the heck is he supposed to help her when he doesnt have all his memories. and to add insult to injury his memory loss makes him think that she actually abandoned their friendship when she moves. none of this makes sense...not to mention a native american killed over a freaking order of ding dongs!!!! wtf im so done with this. going to try another series by this author and hope its better because she really has good ideas!
review 2: have to say, I do have a soft spot for this series and I'm only on book 2! What I like about it is the romance between June and Oscar burns in the background of the main plot line, adventure magic an mystery are the main factors then you remember that June and her Ding Dongs are being drawn to her oldest friend, the love story is not blinding the whole book but u get satisfaction at the end, sugary sweet satisfaction, once the mystery is solved, secrets are revealed and new relationships are forged and new characters are thrown into the mix ready for the next book! The book is fun light and a perfect read for any fan of female leads with spunk magic and a sugary obsession! I won't give spoilers because I never see the point in it, I want to know if the books good if it's going to make me laugh cry or if I'm going to get bored lose interest an give up! so to some up my experience of A Charming Cure it's fast paced, delightfully sweet and imaginative story that leaves you wondering more about your heroine and the characters that surround her. No doubt the next instalment will take us on a new mystery that will entertain us immensely less

Nothing to write home about, it's a cute short read but it didn't have me rushing to read more.
