review 1: Sometimes you need candy, which for the sake of this review shall be a metaphor for romance. :)Sometimes it has to be a completely meaningless story with protagonists that do nothing for you than get you dreaming. Or cheer you up and restore your hope for a RL-dude like the male protagonist, your hope for real love - which isn't so bad after all, so... yes.Don't expect nobel-prize-worthy storytelling or writing when you read this book. You got no character development, instead there are plot holes in what is no real story. ;)It's sensual (wouldn't call it erotica though; it's not *that* explicit). It's entertainment. It's nice. So if you wanna indulge your sweet tooth with a quick fix of candy, this is the book for you.
review 2: First book in new-to-me-author ... moreTori Scott's Satisfaction Series. To be clear, these are short novella type stories. The characters have grown up together, gone their separate ways although always remaining in contact with one another. The first book tells the story of Gray, who has loved Caramia forever it seems. When he pushes her a bit too hard, she pulls away and tells him she wants more than a teenage pregnancy and forced marriage. They make a promise to each other, one Cara doesn't take seriously until Gray shows up ready to fulfill the promise of long ago. It is such a sweet, tender and sizzling romance. The interaction between the characters is a highlight of the book. I'm looking forward to the next book that takes up where this one leaves off, PERFECTLY SATISFIED. If you're looking for a quick, delightfully sexy and fun read, give Tori Scott's "Satisfaction Guaranteed" a look. less
