review 1: The main. Haracter of this book is ageha yagahma. It is centred around an unknown world and special abilities activated by psyren. What brought me to the book was the fact that some of it is scientific and allows you to wonder if this can happen or not because of the through explanations in this book. Anywyas the new world is present day japans future and powers must be used in order to stop the end of the world.the story starts off slow at first but once the characters and setting are in place the action begins to kick in and it becomes much more enjoyable to read.
review 2: Ageha Yoshina is a high school student in Japan. He is famous for "solving peoples problems" (in other words beating the snot out of them) for the price of ten thousand yen. Ageha's li
... morefe is fairly normal until he finds a mysterious telephone card with the word "Psyren" printed on it. After some investigation he finds out that Psyren is a fabled secret society that aims to find a way to paradise. They communicate by using the phone cards. Ageha believes that this is nothing more than an urban legend. He is later proven wrong when he connects to the Psyren network and is transported into a different dimension. Once he enters the realm of Psyren he meets his classmate Sakurako Amamiya and together they fight to survive in the world of Psyren.I really enjoyed this book. I think that the characters are fantastic. In most manga the main character is seeking glory, but Ageha isn't like that. Ageha didn't ask to be thrust into a mystical battleground, he just stumbled across it and is now dealing with it the best he can. I also like how the author took the time to show how miserable Sakurako is. She doesn't want to be in Psyren and tries to do everything she can to keep Ageha from suffering the same fate she has. All in all I think they make a great team and I can't wait to read the next book. I would recommend this book to people looking for a quick read who also like action. less
