review 1: Ageha, Sakurako, Kirisaki, Hiryu and Oboro are transported back to the world of Psyren. Once there, they discover Kirsaki's uncle's bomb shelter. Inside the bomb shelter they find preserved newspapers and video recordings. These documents help them to understand how and when the future of the world falls into chaos. They find that the end of the world is only a year and a half away and an organization called W.I.S.E is behind all of the destruction.I thought this book was action packed and thrilling! You get to see a more serious side of Kirisaki and you get to see him get angry. Kirisaki's character is very easy going and he doesn't have a wide range of emotions. Seeing him get angry and passionate about something was very refreshing. This book also left on a clif... morefhanger, so I am excited to read the next one! I would recommend this book to people who like manga and action books.
review 2: I really like that this manga's answer to what kind of people could survive suddenly being thrust into a post-apocalyptic world with only the benefit of new psionic powers is 'well. Really worrying people actually. But on the bright side at least they're self-aware enough to recognize it's weird their conscience doesn't pang at them killing humanoid presenting creatures? :DDDDD?' Don't take me wrong though, I love this cast, pop stars with a penchant for experimenting on chimera creatures and all. Also this story has really excellent fight scenes, like I am the worst about getting bored with fights (reasons why Bleach slides lower and lower down my list of shonen I bother picking up from the library) but these ones keep me consistently interested. 4 stars less
