review 1: Out of the three Lizzy Gardner novels out (right now), this one was by far the slowest. The ending, however, was very well done and the type of action I had honestly expected coming into this novel after reading the first one. However, the author kept me guessing the whole time and in all honesty, I did not guess that the sister was going to be the villain. T.R Ragan had me thinking that would be Anthony Melbourne or at least his assistant.
review 2: Even though I really enjoyed the first book in the series, the synopsis of this one made me think this one wouldn't be as good. I was wrong. I was immediately hooked! I like both Jessica & Hayley's characters, but I could have done without that particular storyline. I guess I'm not quite that invested in either of those characters yet, for me to care about their own subplots. less
