Play Me
review 1: I could not wait to check up on to Play Me Real, the fourth in the serial novel series by Tracy Wolff. Sebastian’s past was slowly revealed and his “secret burden” was finally revealed. Aria fought to reach him in his dark place and after some goading she got to him and realized that he was willing to take all she had to give and like a thief in the night… he ran off with all of her stuff. And that folks was when I was grateful to have book five on hand because Ms. Wolff built me up for a great fall as Aria made a decision that changed both their lives.Overall, I enjoyed the story that was continuing to unfold.A complimentary copy was provided from LoveSwept via NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

... moreor in exchange for an honest review. In this volume Sebastian comes clean to Aria about his past, and why Janet, her neighbor, has branded him a murderer. In doing so, Sebastian begins to lose control, then taking it out on Aria. Restraining her, marking her and denying her release numerous times leaves Aria fleeing the casino. Aria understands why he did what he did and why it was taken to the level it was, but she cannot forgive his actions and loses faith in their relationship. Sebastian recognizes that he has pushed her too far and while understanding her reaction to the situation, is unwilling to give her up.This part of the story was a little hard to take, not only from Sebastian’s actions, but because of the way in which BDSM has made its way into their relationship. Aria is restrained but not given a safeword or any type of out and Sebastian obviously takes advantage of that. Aria however does nothing to try to stop him though, as she almost feels like it is necessary to take what he is giving in order for him to work through his demons. Of all of the installments thus far, this was the one that was hardest to take. The sexual liaisons of the previous books were hot and both parties came away satisfied, and while Aria didn’t necessarily leave unsatisfied in this one, it was obvious that the power exchange was very one-sided. less
