review 1: I really had the hardest time deciding what to rate this book.1 star level writing.But 5 star level entertainment.But she loses a star for being utterly derivative.But she gains it back in sheer wtf-ery.She loses one for her main character being a mary sue of Tyra herself.This book is utterly insane. Simultaneously the worst thing I've ever read and the most hilarious. And not *just* because It's so bad.I don't know what's happening anymore. This book is the literary equivalent of watching an ANTM marathon while wasted.
review 2: I'm rating this five stars not because it's any good. Frankly, it sucks donkey balls but because Modelland is one big car wreck that you know is happening but you can't turn away from, similar to reality television. A bit ironic s... moreince Top Model won't die out.Anyway, the plotline is stupid, the characters nonsensical, and the writing makes Fifty Shades seem like a Pulitzer. Tyra should stick to what she knows best: modeling and creating a mindless television that centers around her big forehead and ego.Then again with the right connections, she proves that anyone can be writer. Throw in a name like Pukey La Creampie...er Tookie or Touches La Crème de La Mer, whatever the hell this character's name is, put in the stereotypical fat girl to make her feel better, and an albino just because you can and somehow you've got a book.Hmm, maybe I should publish my Dumb and Dumber fanfiction since everyone wants to read about a vapid Amazon with a huge forehead and her exploits on empowering women by emphasizing their looks. Gee, I'm sure everyone would love to buy this novel. *Groan* less
