Second Chance at Love
review 1: I read the entire 2nd chance series because the stories were so close to home for me as a female minister. I loved the story line. This was my first time reading any of Vanessa Miller's book and I wondered how I could have missed her all these years. She is now on my list of authors that I wait with baited breath to produce another work. Thank God I can circle back around to read her earlier works.
review 2: It was a very shallow book. When I mean shallow, I mean a book with not much meat to it. Just kind of a side dish and not a whole meal. I liked the story and I liked supporting a black author. I will read more of her books to support her, but I think she needs to get more in depth with her writing. That Yvonne and Thomas has more connection. In the writ
... moreing, there should be more about their feelings, thoughts, their soul. Less repetition. There were many times in the book when Yvonne would have a conversation with someone and then repeat the ENTIRE conversation with God. I know I couldn't write a better book and this book is probably better than what I could write, but I have read MUCH better. Good authors don't have to tell the reader that someone is going to be a couple, the author should let the readers feel the journey to the end. less

Nicely done. I loved reading a romance about an older couple.
