review 1: I only gave this one 2 stars because about 1/2 way through I started getting annoyed with Luna. There's innocent naivete and then there's 'Darwin Award' winningly stupid, Luna was edging closer and closer to the Darwin award end of the scale. While she wasn't too stupid to function, some of the things she said and did really bugged me; particularly because she was so smart in other parts of the story.Colin was also slapable at a few points, being a stubborn ass-hat and all, mostly it annoyed me that although he was supposed to be Scottish, it seemed limited to having 'wee' or 'lass' or 'daft' stuck into a sentence every now and then. I didn't read him as being Scottish at all and other than it being a plot device, there was really no reason for him not to be American - as ... morethat's how I read him anyway.I ended up skimming through the last 1/3 of the book, Luna and Colin, although cute and likeable, were just grating on my nerves... it was still a nice story, just not as good as the first 2.
