review 1: I started reading this because all of my bookie friends were talking about how terrible it was and how racist it was so I thought I would take a look and see how bad it really was. I went to amazon and started reading their preview and I honestly couldn't stop reading the dang thing... I ended up buying it right then and there and finished it within a few days. It is well written (I did notice a few spelling and grammatical errors which are common with ebooks) and I was entirely engrossed in the story from page one. She definitely could have called the "Coals" something different and more exotic like Obsidians since they are precious gems like the others... And what is with the name Cottons? Probably could have used Opals or something... Or Diamonds maybe? There are plenty... more of books dealing with race and I think people forget that because it usually isn't in your face as much as it is in this book.
review 2: it was an amazing book and it did something that few books can do. I felt myself be drawn into the book and held into a fast pace world that is Revealing Eden. I highly disclaim any arguments against this book. Although many critics say it is bad because it seems to be " racist", I say that this book touches a topic that few dare to face. Foyt also presents this book in such a matter that you don't feel like you stray from the topic but rather that you take a different view point. Overall, a very well written book and I cannot wait to read from this daring and amazing author. less
