review 1: Everyone who nominated this for the Hugo owes me an hour of your time. You can either pay me my regular professional rate of $70/hour, or you can go volunteer an hour of your time at your local women's shelter or library. I won't ever get that hour back, so it might as well go toward something positive.A story that's not a story, a sermon that's as clear as mud and as deep as a cookie sheet, this work was a waste of goddamn time, a prank that wasn't even funny. If you enjoy turgid prose that would have given Lovecraft constipation, then knock yourself out.
review 2: Meh.I wanted to read this so I could judge it on its merits. I understand people who don't want to do that, because of the man, but this was my decision. And... meh. It uses one of my least favourit
... moree ideas, the 'transfer my idea of the medieval Catholic Church to a different, medieval-ish setting' thing. Add an elf - which is fine, I have nothing against elves. And then... well, I guess the philosophy conversations were vaguely interesting, but they didn't GO anywhere and they weren't grounded enough in the world to be saying anything interesting.So... meh. less

Despite the rather obnoxious politics of the author, I really quite enjoyed this.

Se lee fácilmente, pero la trama es bastante simple y no deja ningún poso.
