review 1: Having read biographies of Nimitz, Leahy and King, I was curious of the content. Walter Borneman produced not only a good read but real insight into strategy and the politics involved. Well researched and accurate as well as readable, I don't see that in many books. The author had a way of dividing the book into meaningful parts that flowed together. Great story of America's only five star admirals. Well balanced on both weakness and strengths.
