In this current century, almost everyone has a smartphone. Children born in the 2000’s don’t know what it’s like to live in a world without technology.
In Clay Shirky’s “How Social Media Can Make History” Ted Talk, he brings up some good points on how the Internet has taken over our lives and the spread of information. It keeps us all connected, even if we are strangers. “We are increasingly in a landscape where media is global, social, ubiquitous, and cheap.” Shirky says. Sometimes information that may have taken three months to break is now broken via Twitter within three seconds.
