review 1: I think I may have enjoyed this second installment a little bit more than the first. Don't get me wrong, I was glad for Ari in the first book as she went to school in Park City and made really wonderful friends (and fell in love:), but there was just so much action and so many twists and turns in this second book. I love it when an author surprises me. I also really enjoyed Wendy "humanizing" Ari a bit. There were some really fun LOL moments for me which may or may not have involved bunny slippers.
review 2: The one was even better than the first book. It was very fast-paced and compelling. It even had me wishing I knew how to throw some spells. :) I enjoyed how the scenes with Ari, Shane, and Hunter were intermingled with scenes from Charity. I especially
... moreliked the growth of Charity's character from the first book to this one. The twist with Tristan didn't come as a huge surprise to me, but it was still a great plot point. I was, however, very surprised about Ari's mom, so kudos to Knight on that one. The ending was very well done with plenty of action and tension. The characters in this series are all so full of heart, and I can't wait for more of them. less
