review 1: The book really has no linear timetable to it. Willie starts off talking about growing up in Abbott Texas and then the next paragraph he is telling you a dirty joke. Then the next few pages will talk about his love for Hawaii. Then you’re back to a childhood story. Interspersed throughout the whole book are little stories and anecdote written mainly by his family. This was a fun and quick read!!
review 2: This is not Willie's strongest literary work. I laughed at one of the jokes. That one is a keeper. Another joke I had to look up because it made a golf reference. The personal history here has been told better with more depth elsewhere. Everything else, song lyrics, drawings from his kids, brief passages from family and friends, feels extraneous. I got this

Terrible. Imagine 10 pages of substance repeated over the course of 164 pages.
