review 1: Did not like it at all. There was so much potential to this story. But not only was the dialogue rather boring but both the hero and heroine were rather pitiful. Sam Thornton was a wimp. He gets angry at her for hiding things but is himself hiding the reason for being there. And I simply cannot admire or respect anyone who would even think of taking a small child (in this case still breastfeeding) away from the only mother he has ever known.
review 2: Erin Connell received a letter from a lawyer saying the fertility clinic she and her late husband used for IVF may have made a mistake and her son may be Party A’s and Party A would like a DNA test. If it turns out that her son isn’t her late husband’s she could lose her son’s legacy and her home too as we... morell as her son. Not a patient man, Sam Thornton takes it upon himself to track down Erin and stay at her bed and breakfast without revealing his true identity, Party A. Sam came to Connell Lodge to get to know his son not fall for Erin since he feels responsible for his wife’s death and vowed to himself that he would not fall for another woman again.Erin was a strong heroine, putting the welfare of her son before herself and her feelings. Sam showed us a very vulnerable side of himself. This book did something a book hasn’t done in a while, surprised me with a plot twist. less
