review 1: Dead Beautiful is a moving and well crafted paranormal teen romance and I did enjoy reading it. The only criticism I had was that the plot unfolded quite slowly and became a bit predictable at times. We never find out exactly what happened to Renee's parents and there are quite a few loose ends at the close of the book which led me to reconsider the four stars I was going to award it. However I would imagine teens who enjoy paranormal romance would read this with pleasure.
review 2: I was pleasantly surprised when I finished this book. I was heart broken that it was over, so the first thing I did was check on Amazon to see if there was a sequel. Too many times have I read the first of a "series" only to find out that, for some reason, the rest was never publish... moreed. I have to find out what happens next, it was that good! It had the mystery that you want, plus the supernatural element that people expect in YA today. And, surprisingly enough, the protagonist, Renee was very likable. I would recommend this series to anyone, young or old, that enjoys a good story! less
