review 1: The story could have been better. The narration sucked and the conversations worse. The two of them were friends for one day then enemies for their entire childhood until the present. It was weird to see them have an instant attraction to each other by just seeing their clothes off. Maddox was a man-whore. He slept with anyone before falling for Gia. After having their one and only night together. He went back to his man-whoring routine for 7 days. I was disgusted by his attitude and doubted if he even loved Gia. After their reconciliation and forced separation from their families, Gia left and was banished. Maddox didn't know this and thought that Gia betrayed him by not eloping with him. For months, he AGAIN man-whored and drugged himself to oblivion until Gia returns wi... moreth the news of a baby.THe two of them instantly go back together and happily ever after. NOT! Gia should have MAddox tested for STD's!!! He may have even impregnated other women!!! I hated him and wanted to throw my e-book reader!
review 2: Aha, I love me a good modern day Romeo & Juliet type story and this one was awesome!! Funny & sweet, romantic & erotic, heartbreaking & full of surprises. With characters you will fall in love with & characters you will absolutely despise.Maddox Payne & Gia Love (seriously-how awesome are those names?!??) met in the third grade & became instant best friends....for 1 day. Then their dads saw them together after school & all hell broke loose. You see, the Love's & the Payne's have been enemies since their great-great grandfathers & every generation since had been born & raised into the feud. So the next day, after their fathers have 'educated' them about family loyalty, they are now bitter enemies. From that point foward they begin a game of dare unlike any other. Each one is obsessed with testing the others limits, always trying to out do the other, neither willing to submit or forfeit no matter how outrageous the dare. 10yrs later, nothing has changed. Til one day, Maddox lays out a dare that changes everything & both are forced to realize that no matter how much they fought it all these years, they don't hate eachother, even if they pretend to, even if they want to. Though it's impossible for them to be together, they can no longer deny they fell in love with eachother. So where does that leave them? You will have to read it to find out. What follows is an intense series of events filled with a sweet romance & lots of heartache. And the ending was just perfect. less
