review 1: I love Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog so when I found out about this book, I had to read it. I had high expectations from the show and the book didn't disappoint. Even the introduction is funny. The book is comprised of a collection of short comics that happen in the time before the show. Not only does it set up the show, it gives a closer look into the characters and their motivations. As a standalone book it is good but when taken in conjunction with the show it is great. It makes some of the jokes in the show even funnier.
review 2: 3.5Did I enjoy this? Yes. However, out it respect to all the other graphic novels out there, I have to say this was mildly better than average. It lacked the clarity and story it needs to make it a stand alone story from the web s
... moreeries/movie. In addition, while it was funny, it could have been better written to really punch you in the face with comedy. This one more goosed you in a crowded subway with humor. This all said, there was nothing too egregiously wrong with the comic. The art was good. The story was entertaining (in a, fill in just a few holes in an already existing work kind of way). People who love the series love this, I was you hoping for more. Borrow it. less
