review 1: I would first like to say that I try to find Christian-themed books; and this one was characterized as such. But truthfully, I found the main character of this book so bitter that it was all I could do to make myself read the entire book. With that said, the main character's change of heart was great, but it just was not enough for me to mark this book as one that I liked at all. Whew...I was glad when I did finish the book and could go to one that was uplifting!
review 2: I wanted t like this book a whole lot more than I did. This is my first book by this author. He has written a lot of books, and I as hoping t find a new to me action/mystery type writer. I expected a Randy Singer type author and this wasn't it. This book got great ratings and I went as far a... mores picking it for a book club book, but I was disappointed. The main character was so full of anger, bitterness, hatred and depression that it as hard to even make myself finish. But being the leader, I thought I should get it done. It got a little better towards the end. But let's just say, I wasn't very impressed, and I most likely will not recommend or even read anything else by this author, if they are all like this. less
