review 1: For Nicky (A Torey Hope Novel Book 1) by A.D. EllisThis is Nate and Elizabeth’s story. Nate is a guy most would label a player he enjoys sex but that is it. He is always up front when he takes a girl out to make sure she knows the rules that this is only for fun and that he has no desire to have a relationship. Nate has a twin brother whose name is Nicky he is Nate’s best friend. Nicky was born with a disability and because of that Nate has spent his whole life trying to protect Nicky from anyone who tries to hurt him. When Nicky tell Nate that he wants him to come meet his friend Miss Elizabeth he agrees because he will always do anything for Nicky. Elizabeth is the Librarian at Torey Hope Learning Center she loves her job and all the students that she gets to meet ev... moreery day and wouldn’t trade it for anything. She is the type that most would say is the shy bookworm, and she became that way after her mom died at a young age. She has a little sister named Audrey who is the complete opposite of her and thinks that she as to always be in control of everything including Beth. When Nicky ask Miss Elizabeth to meet his brother Nate she agrees to for Nicky.What will happen when Nate and Elizabeth meet for the first time and the sparks fly? Will this shy librarian give this player a chance? If so can they find love or will all the obstacles in life destroy things before they even begin. Find out in this first book in the Torey Hope Novel Series. This is the first book that I have read from this author and I can honestly say that I will be reading more of her work. I loved this story it had everything I look for in a book it made me laugh out loud, made me so mad that I wanted to throw my kindle, and it made me cry. It was an amazing story and I would recommend this to anyone. A.D. Ellis has now become one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read more of this series.
review 2: Wow - this was such an emotional ride!!!I really enjoyed this book and getting to meet Nate and ELizabeth and of couse Nicky.All Nate's life he has been protecting his twin brother Nicky, who has faced many challenges after not getting enough oxygen during delivery. Nate has constantly beat up anyone who picked on Nicky and therefore does not trust anyone.Elizabeth has been in the shadow of her sister, Audrey, and has always felt unimportant and not beautiful.When Nate and Elizabeth meet, due to Nicky, will they be able to put their insecurities aside and focus on the love they are beginning to feel for each other or will jealousy and a lack of trust tear them apart.This is a wonderful book but very heavy and deals with many different issues. less
