I’m guessing you’re on my website because you are really interested to know more about ‘The Razor’s Edge.’
Well, even if this article is not directly related to the book called ‘The Razor’s Edge,’ I am sure you will be highly entertained by this post. In fact, I decided to be creative and to write my thoughts on being a blogger.
Running a blog is much more than simply writing a few articles about stuff you like at the nearest Starbuck Café or Tim Horton if you are Canadian. There are many steps you must take into consideration when running a blog.
Finding the Perfect Design
This step is one of the fastest to complete but at the same time, it is one of the hardest to finish. In fact, it sounds simple if I tell you to find a design that you like for a blog. However, you must decide from more than one hundred templates making your decision more than complicated. You need to select the perfect design that will match your ideas and that will reflect the message that you want to deliverer in your blog. In addition, you want to make the perfect decision since it will be the design you will be looking at when editing your blog.
Personally, this was a painful step for me. In fact, I didn’t really know where I was going when I first started this blog by myself. I did not know what I should be writing about and what a blog needed to look like. It took me many hours before I finally asked a friend to decide for my template.
Finding the Perfect Blog Ideas
Now, you need to go through this step before launching your blog. It can be easy if you do know where you are going. However, if you do not know, simply take a step back and look at what surrounds you. What do you like? What are your hobbies? Are you good at something and you want to share your experience with others? There are no good or wrong ideas; there’s a niche for everything. Simply take a subject that you are passionate about and it will be easy to write about the selected subject.
This step was easy to go through in my case since the subject was given by my English teacher… You guessed it! This blog is for educational purposes!
Finding the Perfect Blog Post Ideas
This will be the step that will require most of your time when writing your blog. Writing a blog is very different than essay writing. In fact, it requires A LOT of creativity since you must discuss many subjects that are all interlinked to the main idea which is what your blog is about. You need to discuss different subjects that were never covered before and that will hook your writers, thus ensuring traffic on your blog.
Personally, this has been the hardest step in my blog writer experience. In fact, it is very hard for me to find innovative and creative blog ideas. I decided to do this article since it has never been covered yet on any blog that I looked at.
Writing Articles
Once you found the perfect blog post idea, you need to write about it! Now, this step might take a lot of time depending on the complexity of the article you are about to write. You might have to do some research online to find statistics and more information that you do not know by common knowledge. If you love writing long text and to talk about yourself and many subjects, this will be your favorite step.
Since my blog is for educational purposes, a lot of research needs to be done. In fact, I must make sure that all information provided in a biography, for instance, are from scholar sources, thus making this step a bit longer.
Editing Your Blog
This is an easy step when you are running your own blog. Whenever you have a new article that you are ready to publish, you will have to edit your blog to make sure the new post is elegant and appealing. You want to make sure that your readers will click on the hyperlink to read the article you just published.
Editing the blog is one of my favorite steps when doing this assignment. In fact, it is sort of a stress-reliever for me since the only thing you must do and think of is to make your blog look good. As said previously, it is really easy to go through this step.
Sharing Your Blog to the Public
Congratulations! You have found the right design and topic for your blog and you finished to write and edit your first blog post! It is now time to share it with the public! It is very easy since you simply have to send your blog’s link to your friends and on a few websites!
