review 1: Probably my favorite volume so far. I liked everything here, even the chapter about Emp and Thug Boys sex romp that everyone else seemed to hate so much. It was interesting having their sex lives flushed out even a little more, and the in story narration for it was hysterical.The death of a major character was well done and had the proper emotional build up. It was also nice seeing some major plot threads moved along, even if they weren't resolved quite yet.
review 2: This volume is a mixed bag. We have EMP seriously kicking some ass but there is a long bondage sequence with Ocelotina. Lots of character development occurs, with fallout from the epic incident at the Supes awards, to Ninjette getting back on her feet, to EMP spending a lot of time with Spooky's e... morex-Mindfuck which winds up with unexpected tragedy, and to a close encounter with the dreaded Willy Pete. For those who love the Demonlord on the coffee table we get a ponderous story told in his long-winded fashion about Thugboy's and Emp's sexcapades - not my cup of tea - but overall a book that continues the sincere heroics with dirty slutty eyecandy attitude of previous volumes. less
