review 1: Lee and Mitch are married and expecting their first baby, when Mitch takes a business trip that changes everything.Fast forward five years and Lee has married Max, Mitch's arch rival, and they've raised Mitch's daughter, and their own son, together. Then Mitch comes back.I enjoy Addison's writing immensely, I highly recommend her YA Celestra and countenance series, but this book didn't hit the right note to make me love it. I felt for Lee and the situation she was in, really, but I just didn't like the way she handled it through the entire novel. There's lots of breaking of marriage vows in this book.
review 2: 4-4.5 stars. This is a love triangle of EPIC proportions! Wow. Since it's from each of the main participants POV, it makes it so much harder to chose whic
... moreh HEA you'd want to see through. Max or Mitch (mix or match ;))It definitely messes with your mind. Usually when I read about love triangles, there usually is a clear cut hero I tend to lean towards as the hopeful winner of the girl. Not here. With the history of each of the men, and the adoration and love they had, it made it that much harder on who should win Lee's heart. I have no clue who I would have picked in the same situation. A total mental clusterfuck! This was really written well, especially given the content. And although it was very long, I felt that if it was shorter, it would have cheapened the story. I really really enjoyed this crazy novel. Tons of emotions were brought out. Would highly recommend! This is easily a 5 star read, yet I had some issues on why I couldn't rate it that way... I wish the author made Lee more likable. It was hard for me to see what these two men saw in her. She was pretty selfish, and I really wonder if she ever meant to make a choice. Her promises to both men really made me loathe her. I was hoping both guys would just bow out, and each take their kid with them. Also until the end, I thought it was strange that the fact that Mitch was gone for 5 YEARS in a labor camp in China, was kind of blown over. No stress, no rough nights and nightmares, hardly any mention of the time at all. Lee didn't even seem too concerned with how his life was while being held a prisoner, again...for 5 YEARS. No, just Lee saying 'boo-hoo, you shouldn't have left me, it's all your fault'. Ugh! And lastly, this is just my personal opinion, I am not big on religious aspects of the story. It wasn't in-your-face, but it was still a little more for my liking. less

Great story of a love that plays a tug of war with what life brings and what is meant to be.
