review 1: This book opens with a great action driven plot and intriguing charcters, so I thought it would be a great read. However, Phoenix lets the reader down with the character development as they spend the entire book racing around playing catch up with the transpiring events. It was overly ambitious with the plot twists and the time spent on character development was all over the spectrum and didn't really evolve into strong or admirable charcters by the end of the book. I don't think I will read further in the series and would be hesitant to purchase other books by this author.
