review 1: В последните години стана модерно (явно и доходно) да се пишат фентъзита за "млади възрастни" (young adults), които се отличават с по-елементарен сюжет и изказ. Знаете ги тия: момчетата кльопат като топъл хляб фентъзито, а момичетата - всякакъв вампирски булшит.Много се дразня обаче, когато тия по-елементарни книги не биват обозначавани като такива, а биват представяни от издателствата като нормално фентъзи.Може и да греша, но ми се ст... moreрува, че даже когато бях на 17 и поглъщах де що има фентъзи и фантастика, това романче щеше да ми се стори прекалено детско и елементарно.
review 2: I enjoyed this book. it has a fairly engaging plot, although a tad average, with the interesting twist of all the characters being "insect kinden"- human beings who have affinity bonded with insects to gain some of their attributes.the world is expansive, though could use a little more detail on the scenery, the authour tends to focus more on his characters and their attributes than the details of their surroundings.the only major problem i have with this book is that it basically ends on a cliffhanger. a massive dive off a cliff face in fact. in my opinion, this book and its sequel could really have been condensed into one novel, as this one sort of lacks a true climax less
