review 1: I hated every part of this book and i dont understand the love for it. Sebastien was disgusting and I felt so much hatred toward him, that i wonder how is that even possible. Someone needs to tell to the author that the "i had a hard past, i'm broken" thing can't excuse everything and for him, it's useless. He is awful, the man that the girl should run away from or she'll get beat-up. I was so disgusted by Taylor, I wanted to slap her so she could stop giggling and run far away. How people love that book is beyond me, Sebastien is a monster who i'll shoot gladly, that'd be one more asshole dead. Moreover, it was infuriating how the author was trying to justify his behavior, how all the characters seemed to have accepted that, to defend him. I'm not ok with that book, I k... moreept reading it hoping that Taylor would start to be realize what a monster Sebastien is but no she kept on finding excuses for him, I couldnt stand it ; she's naïve and stupid. How can she love him ?I never felt one inch of love for this man and I would kill with no hesitation if I could. AND FOR FUCK'S SAKE CAN SHE STOP APOLOGIZING ! WHY ! WHY ! BE A WOMAN ! THIS BOOK IS DISGUSTING !
review 2: Oh I love this type of story and Adriana tells it wonderfully. So many times I wanted to tell Taylor to run. In fact I had sort of hoped Taylor would decide to change her mind about going out with him and try to avoid him. After reading this entire series I really wished she had. Watching the chase would have been amazing. Oh hey perhaps another of the SKALS team can find himself a girl and chase her. I could go for another SKALS book.. WINK If you have not read this book, be warned there is some heavy domestic violence in here. He is flat out abusive, but it fits. The man is conditioned to be violent. I just do not see how he can go through that conditioning and then be a teddy bear to Taylor. And further spoiler. Part of me wondered if his sister in law hated him and what he did for a living so much, then why was she there and allowing her son there? It did not take away from the story but was more like a musing of mine. less
