review 1: I had a hard time rating this one. The plot is a little cheesy and some events definitely require the ability to suspend disbelief. Once that is done, the writing keeps you engaged and the plot moves along. There are a few grammar issues. Lots of fragmented sentences. Or should I say: There are a lot of fragmented sentences. Another round of editing should catch and correct. The author’s synopsis of the book’s plot is an accurate summary; I won’t repeat.This is a romance with insta-love/insta-lust which happens over a wedding week-end. I am not a fan of these, but the author does a good job of building the attraction between the H/h and making it believable. Both of the lead characters are likable and the secondary characters show just the right amount of development... more and support. There were some cute and humorous moments in the book which were fun to read. And I read for fun so...yeah! There were also a couple of scenes which required the eye roll and a "that so couldn't happen”.This is romantic suspense "lite". It's not complicated, but it's cute. This is a fairly fast read at only 171 pages. I feel the writer has talent and would read more of her work.
review 2: Nice quick read. I like that the heroine isn't completely helpless when in a crisis despite her lack of training in dangerous situations. I personally had a hard time buying how quickly the main characters fell in love, but that is a bias I usually have when a story takes place over a short span of time. Otherwise, I enjoyed it and was thankful for the brief time it was able to take me into a new reality. less
