review 1: This is really more of a 2.5 star read for me. It had a plot, which is really all I can say for it. The premise wasn't really cute or even interesting to me. The author sets up multiple conflicts, but doesn't resolve them, which I absolutely hated. Even with it being a novella, I was hoping for some kind of resolution! I have another book in the series, which I'll read for another challenge, but based on the blurb about what the Harlequin Kiss imprint means, I may be avoiding the line in the future.
review 2: I really liked this novella which is set before the rest of the Wedding Season Modern Tempted books. Amber and Parker had good chemistry and I loved the description of their history together with Amber being the reluctant Parker's childhood stalker. I ca... moren't decide whether I liked the story and the beginning of their relationship as it is, or if I wanted this story to be longer and show more of how their relationship develops. All in all, this is a short and sweet introduction to the series and it was a lovely warming way to spend a gloomy Sunday afternoon.4 stars. less
