review 1: I really enjoyed the Wedding Diaries and when I saw that Aimee Carson was taking part of the Wedding Season Series I jumped at the chance to read her take on one of the Fabulous Foursome. BUT despite having enjoyed the story I have to say it all seemed a bit too much too fast... a groom that decides to give an ultimatum to his bride a couple of days from the wedding, an ex-husband that shows up at the same time and it all ends up well? in 48h? A bit unreasonable. Too much too fast, I'd say. It wouldn't have seemed so had the author didn't have to bring together the four friends in a wedding. All in all, I still have one more on the series to read...
review 2: So I've read these books in the Wedding Quartet completely the wrong way around, starting with Marnie a
... morend then Cassie, and only now moving on to the first story in this series. In many ways, this is one of my favourites. Both Reese and Mason are fabulous characters, each with their own faults but the chemistry between them is fabulous. The story about Reese's failed wedding is engaging and I didn't even dislike Gina and Marnie in this story. I also thought the way that Carson dealt with Mason's PTSD and the fallout from his tours as a Marine were sensitively and realistically handled and she didn't go overboard with this aspect of her character.4 stars for a very enjoyable read. I'm glad that Cassie's story inspired me to read the other books in this quartet. less
