review 1: This story was sad and very thought provoking. Tom Gray was a family man and also an ex serviceman. He had a lovely family but through the stupidity of car thieves his three year old son was killed. The perpetrator who had been in and out of prison walked free. His wife was so devastated she took her life now Tom had nothing he cared for. What type of judicial system can just let his son's killer walk away. He decided to get some friends together and planned the kidnapping of other thugs which he kept imprisoned. He then put the question to the public do you want changes to the system, should these villains live or die, what punishment do they deserve? There was a time limit to the public's answer. The novel was well written by Alan McDermott, he had your mind whirring try... moreing to figure out can this really be happening, there were so many twists and turns. You have to read it and make up your own mind as to where the judicial system is going. Very enjoyable because he has you guessing right to the end. I could not put this book down.
review 2: I recommend this fiction novel by Alan McDermott. Family tragedy brought about by criminal elements without remorse results in Gray Justice. Tom Gray cannot find justice for the loss of his family through existing Canadian law. Repeat offenders find loopholes escaping punishment leaving much collateral damage. Gray utilizes technology and a special web site to effect measurements and re-education accompanied with punishment of surviving criminals. Gray Justice is exciting, fast paced, thrilling, amazingly descriptive, and stays with the major premises of the story. Explanations for his actions are considered and analyzed but Tom Gray keeps it simple re-education and punishment must be accepted by all. The characters are well conceived and interesting as they work with and against each the other. Gray Justice is a real page turner. I had to read some parts of this novel several times to make sure I did properly comprehend the richness of this story. Family, justice, re-education, computer and electronic technologies, government, and more captured my interests and held me in suspense for hours. Gray is an attractive series supported by well-developed characters. Tom Gray dmands justice "Gray Justice." I am very satisfied with the product I paid for and will follow Alan McDermott. less

I didn't know the Daily Mail had branched out into fiction. Well, novels anyway.
